Clatsop County seeks public input for Fair & Expo Strategic Plan update

Clatsop County is inviting residents to help shape the future of its Fair & Expo by participating in a community survey and attending an open house on April 18, according to a Mar. 26 announcement.

The county is updating its Fair & Expo Strategic Plan for the first time since 2009. This plan will guide decisions about fairgrounds facilities, programming, and how the space serves the community in coming years.

Community members—including residents, exhibitors, vendors, and event organizers—are encouraged to complete an online survey or attend a public open house at the Clatsop County Fairgrounds from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 18. “The Fair & Expo brings people together, and this is a chance for the community to help shape its future,” said Abigale Goodman, Chair of the Fair Board. “We hope people will take a few minutes to complete the survey or join us at the open house and share their ideas.” The open house will introduce attendees to the planning process and collect feedback on facilities and events. Snacks will be provided.

A second public open house is scheduled for May 20 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., where draft recommendations will be shared before finalizing the strategic plan by June 30.
