Clatsop Community College is proud to announce the commencement festivities for the graduating class of 2022. This year’s commencement ceremony will take place on Friday, June 17, 2022, at 4 p.m. in Patriot Hall at the CCC campus in Astoria. Former Superintendent of Seaside Schools Dr. Sheila Roley will address the 73 graduates of CCC with 64 associate degrees and 13 certificates being awarded. Acknowledgement will also be given to individuals who have completed the college’s GED program. Spanish Instructor Fernando Rojas-Galvan was selected as this year’s Faculty Marshall and the honor of being named Student Marshall went to graduating business student Marissa Chapman. Both Faculty and Student Marshalls will address those gathered for the commencement ceremony.

“Commencement is the culmination of all the hard work and dedication our students have put in throughout their college career, especially acknowledging their perseverance in these past years through COVID,” said CCC President Chris Breitmeyer. “It’s a time dedicated to really applaud their accomplishments. We are excited to celebrate this milestone with our graduates.”

The commencement ceremony will be a live, in-person event. There are no COVID-19 capacity limits in place at this time for attendees and masks remain optional on the college campus. A live streaming option will be available via the Clatsop Community College YouTube channel.
