A Message from Necanicum Watershed Council Executive Director, Noah Dolinajec

I hope everyone is getting to enjoy this sunny early fall day after so much rain. Our last planting event was a huge success. We put around 330 plants into the ground on the Ridge Path and had a strong group of folks show up to help out.

If you missed out, don’t fret, we’ve got another planting day this week!

Thursday, November 10th, 9am-12pm (ish). We’ll meet at the Gearhart City Hall building.

We’ll have donuts and hot coffee for folks, but you’re encouraged to bring your own water.

We’ll also have gloves, trowels, transplanters and four shovels that folks can utilize during the day but we’d encourage folks to bring their own as well, just in case we have an increased need for lender tools.

Right now, the weather looks phenomenal for a planting day on Thursday, but I would still encourage people to bring along a raincoat and some good boots.

If you’re planning to attend, shoot me a quick RSVP response.

Looking forward to putting in our second of many pollinator patches on the trail!
