Former Scappoose High School standout Abby Stansbury and the Western Oregon Wolves suffered a 10-2 defeat against the Western Washington Vikings at noon Saturday, March 14, in NCAA Division II softball play.
The matchup was held at Viking Field and marked the teams’ third contest this season. In their previous meeting on Friday, March 13, the Wolves secured an 8-3 victory.
Stansbury pitched five innings, allowing two earned runs with eight walks and one strikeout.
Western Oregon’s next game is set for Saturday, March 14, at 2:30 p.m. at Viking Field, once again facing the Western Washington Vikings.
